Introduction

Le Rotaract Caraïbéen comprend plus de 70 Clubs Rotaract répartis dans 33 territoires et pays et s’étend de la Guyane jusqu’aux Bahamas ; On y pratique 4 langues : l’Espagnol, le Français, le Néerlandais et l’Anglais.

La région Caraïbes comprend les districts suivants :

  • District 4060 - République Dominicaine
  • District 4370 - Vénézuéla et les autres îles
  • District 7000 - Puerto Rico
  • District 7020 - Ouest Caraïbéen
  • District 7030 - Est Caraïbéen et les Guyanes

Présentation du Projet

-  Sensibiliser la région Caraïbes au Rotaract.
-  Promouvoir la compréhension internationale entre les clubs des Caraïbes.
-  Prévoir une opportunité aux Rotaractiens du monde de célébrer tous ensemble les 40 de service Rotaract.

Project Description

Rotaract Challenge is a game show in the form of a quiz activity for Rotaractors around the Caribbean to test their knowledge about Rotaract around the world and especially in the Caribbean.

There will be three 3 rounds of competition for Rotaractors from around the Caribbean as stated below :

First Round-Club Level

-  Each participant will be asked a question pertaining to Club Administartion.
-  A Rotaractor who answers any question incorrectly will be immediately eliminated in this round and others move on to the other round.

Second Round-District Level

-  Rotaractors will be asked a specific question relating to the District organization and Structure.
-  The first five (5) Rotaractors to answer correctly will progress to the finals for the rumble.
-  There will be a buzzer system for answering questions in this stage.

The Finals-International/Regional Level

-  There will be the “CHALLENGE WALL” for Rotaractors to select questions.
-  There will be fifteen (15) questions from the three (3) categories at different monetary value (lowest 50US and highest 500US) on the Wall.
-  The first Rotaractor to hit the buzzer will select the question.
-  Rotaractors will be asked to select a number to determine which question to answer during this round.

  • US$60 (Caribbean Rotaractors)
  • US$120 (Non-Caribbean Rotaractors)
  • US$200 (Caribbean Rotarians)
  • US$300 (Non-Caribbean Rotarians)

  • US$17 per night (Friday-Saturday)

Club Prizes

  • 1st - Registration fee for Interota 2008 in South Korea
  • 2nd - Registration fee for Rotaract Convention in LA,
  • 3rd - Free ticket to the 40th Anniversary Dinner.

Recognition Each participating club will be given a token or plaque of appreciation after the competition.

Registration include

  • A Caribbean Challenge Package,
  • commemorative T-Shirt Caribbean Welcome Party,
  • meals on Saturday and transportation.
